Foggy Explorer is developed by ayeSoftware. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Foggy Explorer app.

Location Data Foggy Explorer collects your GPS location while the app is in use and in the background. This data is used solely to track areas you have explored and display them on your personal fog map. Location data is stored in your private iCloud account and is not shared with third parties.

Apple Sign In We use Sign in with Apple to create your account. We receive only the information Apple provides — your name and an anonymous user identifier. We do not receive your Apple ID email unless you choose to share it.

Usage Data We store your explored locations, dropped pins, and profile information (display name and city) in iCloud. This data is used to power the app's features including your fog map, stats, leaderboard, and friend features.

• To show leaderboards and enable friend features
• To sync your data across your devices via iCloud

All your data is stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. Your location history is stored in your private CloudKit database and is not accessible to other users. Your display name, city, and exploration count are stored in a shared CloudKit database solely to enable the friends and leaderboard features.

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Your display name, city, and total explored locations are visible to friends you have connected with in the app.

You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at Ian.Brown@ayeSoftware.co.uk. You can also delete the app and revoke Sign in with Apple access from your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Password & Security → Apps Using Apple ID.

Foggy Explorer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the date at the top of this policy.
